(Malay Latin Script: Medan Maziah / Jawi Script: ميدن مزيه )
Maziah Square is a public park located on the grounds of Maziah Palace. It was previously known as Malaya Field during the early post-independence era since it served as the site for the proclamation of independence.
This area was the focal point for any public event, particularly the Sultan’s coronation and birthday celebrations. During the coronation or birthday week, all cultural showcases such as Rodat and Gamelan will be staged here for several days.
To improve the appearance of Kuala Terengganu’s city centre, the square has since been converted into a public park and green areas.
