Kampung Che Lijah, Dungun – July 8, 2024 – Following the resounding success of its inaugural edition in Kuala Terengganu last year, Doktong 2.0: Bekwoh returns with renewed vigor to Kampung Che Lijah, Dungun. This annual event, organized by Mandalika in collaboration with the National Art Gallery and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and Terengganu Tourism, aims to immerse the local community in a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and national heritage assets.
Scheduled to take place from 26-27 July 2024, Doktong 2.0: Bekwoh 2024 promises an enriching experience for residents and visitors alike. The event will feature a dynamic lineup of activities including art exhibitions, community activities, workshops, and interactive sessions designed to foster appreciation and understanding of Malaysia’s rich artistic traditions and cultural diversity.

The Synopsis
Doktong 2.0: Bekwoh
Doktong is oriented to immaterial resources such as learning, developing experiences, and traditions at the same time integrating the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0). Doktong.my is a participatory form of cultural tourism more appropriate to contemporary social and economic structures. This type of tourism makes use of the intangible resources of the destination (e.g. lifestyles, narratives, creativity, media) and enables the tourist to participate actively in leisure, cultural, and artistic activities that reflect the characteristics of the destination visited.
Doktong 2.0: Bekwoh is an annual event dedicated to promoting art, culture, and national heritage assets across Malaysia. Organized in collaboration with the National Art Gallery, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, and Terengganu Tourism, Doktong 2.0: Bekwoh aims to foster community engagement and appreciation for Malaysia’s diverse cultural landscape through art exhibitions, performances, workshops, and interactive activities.
